MOON...

There it stands elegantly, in the still dark sky…
Each night accompanying a new ally,
Sometimes with the twinkling stars,
Sometimes beside a drifting cloud,
Igniting every single life with vigor…
There it stands elegantly, in the still dark sky…
Each night in a different guise,
Sometimes in gentle silver,
Sometimes in frenzy crimson,
Portraying different colours of life…
There it stands elegantly, in the still dark sky…
Each night bestowing all, with its divine light,
Sometimes embellishing the trees, with its shimmer,
Sometimes becoming some poet’s inspiration,
Instilling every single heart with romance…
There it stands elegantly, in the still dark sky…
Each night heeding a new story,
Retaining with it countless feelings…
Feelings of a heart, freshly fallen in love…

Feelings of a heart, shattered by betrayal…
There it stands elegantly, in the still dark sky…

Stereotyped

Don’t let the stereotypes typecast you Into a little girl , Who can play only with dolls and not toy-cars… Who can’t play cricket, Just because they say it’s a boy’s game… Into a young teenage girl, Who drops out of school sports team, And joins dance classes instead, Because it’s graceful enough… Into an adolescent girl, Who is stalked over and over, Until she gives in to be in a relationship, Because that’s how the popular movies define persuasion… Into a corporate lady, Who fears to be aggressive for all the right reasons, As she might be judged as "too bossy" for all the wrong ones… Into a girl turning to a marriageable age, And is supposed to leave her job, Because that’s how she is supposed to be, A care giver and not a bread earner… No supernatural power will come for our rescue, The supernatural is all within, Recognizing that supernatural is the super power… Don’t let the stereotypes typecast you, Just be t...
