Where ever we go, whatever we achieve, there is always a desire of going back “Home”. “Home”: The dictionary defines it both as a place of origin as well as the ultimate goal. But there she is “Girja”  for whom only the first dictionary definition of home serves the purpose, because she is not among those who are going to decide her ultimate goal. And hence her ultimate end looks nowhere like home, not even a word near it.   I met Girja two years back, during my trip to “basti” a village in Uttarakhand. A cool breeze swung through my face as I got out of the bus and it swiped away all the Delhi’s heat that had gotten me pack my bags and head to my massi’s place, Basti. Basti, synonymous to its name is a gathering of a few families, who live together forming a bigger family. There I came across so many genuine smiles. People had innocent curiosity to know me ,  who I was as a person, where did I belong to, rather than just interacting to get one or the oth...

“Woman role model”, a question pops up in my mind along with this word, and the question is Who she actually is? Is she the celebrity we all watch on the big screen and get inspired by her beauty and charisma? Is she the one who has ridden at the top of the ladder in one of the fortune 500 companies? Is she the entrepreneur who has stood up alone to make a successful enterprise and who now stands out high in the crowd? Or Is she the one, who decides to stay back home building a family, who is a mother, who is the creator of a new person, a whole new life? Well, I believe she resides in all of them. All of them in their own unique way is a role model, she has it all, that we may require to take an inspiration from and be a perfect human being. But the bitter truth is our Society in general do not like originality, especially in woman, as it looks like defying man's authority for a woman to prefer her own methods to accepting those laid down for the majority. ना जाने क्या समझना , और समझाना चाहता है ये दिल मासूम था , और मासूमियत में ही जीना चाहता है   .... मन के कोने में दबे कई  जज़्बात    उमड़ते हैं , घुमड़ते हैं , कभी गरजते , तो कभी आँसू बन बरसते भी हैं   .... पर फिर लाचारियत   में सिमट कर मन के उसी कोने में फिर से वो दब जाते हैं   .... सच्चा है ये दिल , सच ही कहना और सुन्ना चाहता है   .... मगर इतना आसान नही है सच का ये दामन , क्योकि   सच सुनने की यहाँ किसी को आदत ही नहीं   .... क्या सही है और क्या गलत इस असमंजस में फंसा  ये दिल , बस एक बात भली भाँती  जानता   है , कि तेरा साथ हो तो ये हर परिस्थ्ति में मुस्कुराना जानता   है   ....
