Today was a great day in the face of Indian Republic. Team Anna as well as the government along with all the opposition parties showed a great negotiation spirit in agreeing to the demands of Team Anna so as to pass a highly vigilant and robust Jan Lokpal Bill. One thing that can’t be denied is that this movement has brought corruption to the day to day discussion of the common man and has no doubt made the people in power aware of the strength of the people who have brought them up, there.  It has made the politicians aware of the fact that people would not allow them to carry out their wrong and corrupt deeds every 5 year of their ruling period. People have finally understood that the meaning of democracy goes beyond just the election of their representative every 5 year and then occupying a back seat and watch the government, dance on its own tune of corruption, they have rather become aware of their right to question any misdemeanor of government to prevent another CWG, 2G o...

The whole of the Jan Lokpal bill and the protest to pass this bill has taken me through a roller coaster of brain storming about both the sides of the bill, the government side as well as the civil society side and what I realized is that there is a part of me which support the team Anna and their good will to pass this bill, but at the same time there is this other side of me having some if’s and but’s about the same. Some people are advocating the point that PM should not be under the Lok pal scanner, we must have to trust someone. But after the Bofors, CWG, 2 G scam, which were directly under PMO , common Man is now afraid of trusting any more. We trusted and what we got is yet another scam. So this is high time that this bill which has remained due since last 42 years is passed in the parliament with the PM under the scanner. It always feels good in listening to the words like “dil jaise dhadake dhadakane do” but why is it so difficult to contrivance such things in reality, why is reality always different from all the beautiful stories, which once inspired us in some way or the other and which always have a happy ending… why is there always a dilemma between what to do and what not to, between which way to chose.  Why do we think so much before accomplishing our dreams why can’t we let it go why is there too much of thinking before pursuing happiness. Many a times I wonder…why do we think a lot about each and every thing and I wonder how much fun will it be if we let the things come our way as surprises , why is there always too much of planning before every small thing occurring in our life. Sometimes it seems that the time when browsing the black white album used to be fun, when power cuts in the night meant a bunch of friends roaming around in the dark streets chasing for fire flies was much better ...

We say life’s not fair While complaining about the flavor less food in the mess While we are not able to get a seat to sit on a railway platform While criticizing the system for making us stand in a long queue at a movie theatre We say we are confused Confused of not knowing Which attire to purchase for a friend’s wedding Confused in choosing a restaurant to party Among all these complaints And confusions   Can we all just stop for a moment And look around…   Look around for   the construction worker who is in fact unaware if he will be able to   get two time bread and a room to sleep and relax each morning he wake up... look around for the maid who don’t even have two piece clothing to cover herself up who feels stranded of not being able to buy even a mango on her child’s demand... we say we are bewildered bewildered about which dream to chase and which direction to pursue In between this thought   juggling stop for a moment and look around   look around...
