Raising A Toast To The City That Never Sleeps

As the weather transitions from the tranquil dawn, to the diurnal soaring hot, to the cool Windy dusk, the city also evolves along, from the gust of crowd rushing into the local or hitting the traffic madly, to a diligent work force toiling in the clammy afternoon, to the bunch of lively people strolling around the Marine drive with the soothing breeze from the sea taking away with it their whole day’s stress.
Mumbai is truly the city of dreams; it provides everyone with the space to dream and at the same time, provide the dreams with the space to turn into reality. The city has respect for Flair of all sorts and has the power to transform that flair into stardom.
It serves all, with a tangy cocktail of recreation, pleasing every mood of life; from "the Scenic Sunrise at Juhu Beech to the Sunset at Bandstand”; from “the highbrow Theater to highly nocturnal Night Clubs”. Life wears an exclusive Parade here.
The city is a complete conglomeration of varied lifestyles; from “the street Vada Pav” to “the Urbane Continental” among the food; from “the casual Marathi sari” to “the debonair Gown” among the attire; from “the shanty slums of Dharavi” to “the Posh Nariman house” among the dwellings. Despite having such contrasting life forms, the city absorbs them all with the same warmth. It is the city where everyone can aspire, work and live with the equal Poise.
Mumbai is actually the city portraying different colors of life. It allows one to embrace one’s own style of living, unquestioned, unlabeled and unbound.
The Elite Aura of the city goes unmatched and stands off complacently, with the Ethos driving out spontaneous love for itself. The older it grows, the Younger it looks, though a bit ironic still true in each and every sense.
The Film City, aptly describes herself in her own words “Zara Hatake Zara Bachke Ye Hai Bumbai Meri Jaan”

  3. Nice article. I had the nostalgia of Mumbai while reading this. The best thing I like about this city is the understanding that is prevalent amongst the common man. Be it travelling by local train or moving midst the crowded market at Matunga, you always feel at home.
But again, you seldom realise the importance of the place while you are there :)
I can see another article in the pipeline on Delhi.
